Cookies Notice

The cookies Credbase uses, why we use them and how to control them, with no dark patterns.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Similar technologies (like localStorage or pixels) do the same job in different ways. We call all of them "cookies" on this page for simplicity.

We try to keep our cookie use minimal. We do not run ad-tracking cookies, we do not sell your data to advertisers and we do not follow you around the web.

Strictly necessary cookies

These are needed for Credbase to work. Without them, you couldn't sign in or use the app securely.

  • Authentication and session: keeps you signed in as you move between pages.
  • Security: helps us detect abuse and protect your account (for example, CSRF protection).
  • Preferences: remembers small choices like the last workspace you opened.
Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent under UK/EU rules because you have asked for the service that needs them.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 with Google Consent Mode v2 to understand which pages and features are used and where people get stuck. Analytics cookies only fire if you accept them in the banner: reject and GA4 sends only anonymous, cookieless pings so we still see aggregate traffic without identifying you. We also enable IP anonymisation and do not use ad-personalisation signals.

You can change your choice at any time from the button below.

Google Search Console verification

We use Google Search Console to see how Credbase appears in Google Search results, and to submit our sitemap. To prove we own credbase.app, we include a small verification tag in the HTML of our marketing pages.

This tag doesn't set a cookie and doesn't track you. It only lets Google confirm that we control this domain.

Third-party services

Some pages load resources from trusted third parties (for example, our hosting, error-monitoring or payment providers). Those providers may set their own cookies, purely to run the feature you are using. They are listed as subprocessors in our Trust Centre.

How to control cookies

You can clear or block cookies from your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop parts of Credbase working (for example, staying signed in). Blocking optional cookies won't stop you using the product.

If you have a specific question about the cookies we use, email privacy@credbase.app and we'll walk you through it.

Changes to this notice

If we start using cookies for new purposes, we'll update this page and, where required, ask for your consent first.
